In 2015, GaoFunk.Pan and G-ELEVEN celebrates the band’s 10th anniversary. On the 25th of July, GaoFunk.Pan and G-ELEVEN will be at the joint of Yugong Yishan and throw a party for those who has been always supportive in the last decade. The band will be re-interpreting classic tracks, and be giving the national premiere of brand new songs included in the latest album <Groove.Love>.
GaoFunk.Pan was the only singer-songwriter that got all the passes in the national sensation Sing My Song. In the performance of the song <Groove.Love>, he was on the vocal, the guitar and the drum at the same time, driving all the judges mad on the stage. In the <12-hour song-writing competition>, he wrote and performed flawlessly the hit number <Will Forget, Will Remember>, and won over judges Liu Huan and Yu Quan. Pan is also credited as the most talented and skilled Chinese funk musician by many well-known Chinese musicians like Er Di and Lao Lang.
GaoFunk.Pan, born in 1986, Beijing, is a young music talent that simply could not be ignored. Besides being a singer-songwriter, he’s also an impressive primary vocal, guitar and bass player of his band and talented music producer. In his childhood he was introduced initially to painting, and was exposed early to international pop and rock music. He founded “G-Eleven” – arguably the best funk band in China – in 2005 and participated in the making of many film and television soundtracks. Pan also produced songs and albums for a number of fellow singers.
GaoFunk.Pan always brings the audience love and passion with his unique combination of lyrics in Chinese and authentic funk groove. Audience returns the favour for his talent, big smile, and most importantly for the positive attitude and happiness that come out from his rhythm.
