American thrasher HAVOK gonna attack Beijing Live House
30 years ago METALLICA broke the silence with the legendary Kill ‘Em All, 30 years later HAVOK wipe out all of our ears with one solid EP Pwn ‘Em All.
The thrash quartet HAVOK come from Colorado, inherited from the Bay area thrash legends METALLICA and SLAYER they strive to carry the torch along this road full of heaviness and faith.
After releasing 2 EPs themselves the legion signed up with the famous European label Candlelight finally. They launched their first shot Burn which propels them to merge from the heavy music scene in 2009.
By the 2011’s sophomore album Time is Up they managed to deliver some very discernable melodies with ubiquitous mind-blowing riffs. It’s this effort that makes them begin rising to fame. Following this release they set off to act as supporting band for several metal veterans including FORBIDDEN、DEATH ANGEL、SEPULTURA and EXODUS.
With the latest strike Unnatural Selection they prove that younger thrash bands have the advantage of youth and modern playing and production. This successful combination has led the thrash wave higher and higher in the new millennium.
The thing about HAVOK nowadays is that while maintaining strong roots in modern thrash, there is an overt old school 80’s thrash/crossover feel that is conveyed frequently.
Now riding the wave of retro-thrash HAVOK is coming up to kick your ass this winter in Beijing. Hail pure thrash! Hail the new neck breaker HAVOK!
