Born in Tokyo, and raised in Tanzania and England, Shing02 came up in the independent San Francisco Bay Area scene in the early ’90s. Over the course of his independent career starting in 1995, the bilingual MC has remained true to his hip hop roots that blend creativity and activism, through music and multimedia.
True to his name, SPIN MASTER A-1 from Osaka will bring his distinct skills on the turntables. His energetic sets have won followings all over the world, and he has DJed for Shing02 ever since meeting in the Bay Area in 2002.
The dynamic duo will perform sets as a tribute to Nujabes, a Japanese producer who passed away in 2010. 2015 will see the release of Luv(sic) Hexalogy in a double CD format (with new remixes and bonus tracks), as well as the release of Luv(sic) Part3 on vinyl to complete the series.
