The Austrian Embassy in Beijing announces Aodili – The Sounds of Music – A Musical Journey from Mozart to Pop, a concert tour for Chinese audiences from May 5th through to May 10th in Beijing and Shanghai. This tour highlights the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Austria and China.

Valerie the cosmopolitan pop singer from Vienna and Moscow, surprises her listeners with her superb voice and innovative lyrics. Her humorous, poetic and also thoughtful words – written by Valerie as well as in collaboration with different musicians – are often critical in a playful way. The twice Amadeus Award Winner (the highest Austrian music prize) is very versatile, having simultaneously studied jazz singing at the Conservatory in Vienna and graduating at the same time in law. Valerie composes, writes and sings in German, English and French. Valerie is praised by the Walter Gröbchen music journalist as “One of the country’s most extravagant, most captivating and most talented artists”.

G-Neila Lukas Plöchl & Manix The Austrian-Chinese hit-rapper Lukas Plöchl found enthusiastic fans in the Austrian music world during the Austrian TV Show “Heroes of tomorrow” with his song Tractor-Gansta-Rap. The current charts in Austria are dominated by Lukas Plöchl, also known as the G-Neila, and his band member, Manuel Hoffelner, who is better known as ManiX.
