Passed down through generations of Beijing DJs like a precious bass music heirloom, The Syndicate has been demolishing the city’s dancefloors on the regular for a full decade now. We’re immensely proud to have remained at the forefront of nightlife in this rapidly developing city for so long, and to show our gratitude for the Syndicate crowd’s undying devotion to bass music, we’re doing something rather special.
In the global drum ‘n’ bass community, one name stands above all others. Since the genre’s inception in the early 90s, a babyfaced man from Brighton has continued to outperform his peers, with a mixing style that can only be described as “inhuman”. DJ Friction, founder of world-leading label Shogun Audio and host of the UK’s most popular electronic music radio show – the BBC Radio 1 Drum ‘n’ Bass Show – is no mere “godfather”…he is, quite simply, a god of drum ‘n’ bass.
We have teamed up with German audio giants Sennheiser and legendary Beijing club Yugong Yishan to bring him to Beijing. But, hang on, there’s more – we’re also giving him 4 decks to play around with, and letting him loose for a super-extended 3 hour set. Holy effing christ.
With the help of the Sennheiser soundsystem that melted your faces at INTRO 2013, Syndicate invites you to our bass-fuelled celebration of ten years running the game.
