Maybe Mars & FakeLoveMusic present:
a send off show for Beijing bands going to SXSW

DJ Metro Tokyo

Beijing sends off four of its best to the temple of independent music goodness in Austin Texas, the South By South West Music Festival(SXSW) with a big kiss farewell show. This line-up includes local heroes.

Car Sick Cars, a band with an impressive indie resume having played at ATP (All Tomorrow’s Parties the hands down best free-spirited band-driven Festival on the planet), toured with Sonic Youth, and buddied around with Thurston Moore. It’s their 3rd time at SXSW.

Nova Heart, Helen Feng’s new project, that after just 6 months of existence in uncharted territory of chants, witches, disco voodoo, and creepy daydreams of synth pop morphing into deludes of breathy exorcism, has already played at the afterparty of the Zurich Street Parade, toured Australia, and filmed a Take Away Show with Vincent Moon. Considering the band plays once in a blue moon in Beijing, you better watch them before they go back on the road in another blistering round of international touring.

Rustic, the winner of the 1st GBOB (Global Battle of the Bands) in London, have recently released their first album “CITY OF HEARTBREAK ‘N HORROR” to critical acclaim. They have just changed their lineup and the new Rustic is sure to rock even harder than the already infamous version 1.0. Planning on touring China after they get back from the USA, this may be the last chance to see them in Beijing for a while…

Deadly Cradle Death, a new Experimental Noise Duo that goes into dark screaming revelations of borderline psychosis turned into seriously invigorating music.

This show is the foreplay to their upcoming US tours and SXSW showcases, with a stage supported by some of Beijing’s best production crews, expect more than your usual band set up. Come watch, and pat them all on the backs as we send the bands off to America to kick some indie ass.
