HONDA Masato, whose father is a music teacher, showed great interests in music. He began to learn playing sax when he was a child. Then, he entered into the Kunitachi College of Music and became of member of college jazz band. During his study at college, he was awarded as the best soloist during the Yamano Big Band Jazz Contest. After graduation, he performed with top musicians, recorded various kinds of music works. In 1991, he joined in the fusion jazz group”T-SQUARE”, as player,composer, arranger, bringing new elements to the music works. In 1998, after leaving T-SQUARE, he began his career as a soloist, active in recording, composing with many artists. In Nov, 2009, he came to China for the first time and had a tour show in Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, Beijing, receiving critical acclaim.
On 23rd, Dem,2009, the first original debut was released.
The famous music magazine “ADLIB” awarded his as the 11 straight championship as the best saxophonist of the country voted by audience.
Guitar: KAJIWARA Jun
Born in 25th, August, 1961, KAJIWARA Jun studied piano at the age of 6, then began to study guitar at the age of 14. He started his career as a player when he was just 19. He once worked as a accompanist for many famous artists, and has already cut a figure as recording director. In 80s and 90s, he was busy with recording and performing with his band. His personal album”witness” “Source” “J&B”. was also released during that period. Then, when he stared his solo career, the third album was released.
Besides, he is now a teacher in music college, cultivating a new generation of artists.
Drums: TSURUYA Tomo’o
In 1984, he finished his study in VancouverCanada.
In 1987, he started his career as a player.
In 2007, his first debut”serendipity” was released to memorize the 20 years of career as a drummer.
Now, he gave performances in the name of “Trvst” in many activities.
Bass: SAKURAI Tetsuo
Born in Tokyo, he started play bass and guitar at the age of 13. During 1976 to 1989, he once taked part in Cassiopeia band. In 1990 to 1998, he became a member of JIMSAKU band. He has already given 20 national public shows in Japan and other countries. Since his first released debut in 1979, he has already released 44 albums in the name of himself and his band. The albums including 4 Music Teaching DVDs and 7 concert DVDS. In 1999, he gave performances as a solo artist. His music works are innovative, full of warm but strong rythems.
Keyboard: SHIRAI Akito
Born in 25th,June, in 1988. He studies electric piano at the age of 9 and wan many prizes during all kinds of competitions. When he was 17, he studied jazz piano under the guide of Yuki Arimasa. In 2008, his band”TENTEN Quartet” took part in the internationally known “Sapporo City Jazz Park Jazz Live Contest” and won the first prize, standing out from more than 150 bands. In 2009, he and his band was invited to perform in Toronto Jazz Festival in Canada. At the age of 20, he started his professional artist career, once worked as arranger for the Hollywood public show.
