In 2004 Electric Barbarian produced their first album:

Quote: “….Él is masterfully and open produced and builds a monumental bridge between improvised music, hiphop and live drum-n-bass.”

So far Electric Barbarian released two albums: EL – 2004 & Minirock from the Sun – 2007.

The Brazilian poet Luanda Casella performs as a special guest with Electric Barbarian. Luanda Casella is a performer, a writer and most of all a story teller. She uses both rhythm and tonality of words to create a sound atmosphere. Her poems are reflecting every day thoughts and situations in an abstract way. She is a virtuoso in the performance of ‘spoken word’ with an astonishing flow.

Line up:

Luanda Casella (Br) – spoken word

George Pancras (Nl) – trumpet

DJ Lamont (US) – turntables

Sebastiaan Kaptein (Nl) – drums

Floris Vermeulen (Nl) – electric bass / compositions
