4 Music bands to discover:

Trip In (Switzerland)

Trip In is the story of a meeting between a saxophonist and a slammer around the same passion: jazz. From this emerges the idea of mixing those rhythms to the energy of Hip-Hop. Trip In is a jazzed up rap that makes you trip. With a mix of jazzy riffs and beautiful rimes, Trip In brings together the talent of Nadir Mokdad and Maxime Steiner on captivating rhythms seasoned with a hint of optimism. The whole is accompanied by sound director of genius William Fournier and drummer Maxence Sibille.

Samian (Canada/Quebec)
First Quebec musical scene rapper to use both French and Algonquin in his songs, Samian is a Métis active in his community. His songs link his personal story to the fate of the Algonquin people in Abitibi and encourage dialogue. When an artist from the First Nations emerges and proudly proclaims his origins in intelligent, sensitive and moving texts, it’s a real revelation.

Al K Traxx (France)
A colourful and spicy mix of hip-hop, electro and rock. With deep texts for attentive ears, Al K Traxx’s hip-hop is both eclectic and daring. On stage, their enthusiasm, the openness of their music, their words, meanings and sounds send shivers down the spine of an eclectic and captivated public. After having played twice the first part of ASSASSIN in 2009, they released their latest album in January 2010.

Labiur (Belgium)
Belgian, Francophone (in her own way!), Labiur, it’s Emilie Sabbia, 24 years old, 1,65 m of pure energy, 50 kilos of creativity. Alone on stage, with her laptop as only partner, she mixes 8-bit music and electro on corrosive, naughty and personal texts. An explosive cocktail! Labiur, it’s also a first album in 2009, BIURTIFUL, with 4 titles mixing Dance, Electro, Hip Hop and Techno: Vilain Hibou; Mademoiselle; Bic is Bip and One More.
