SHENGYANFANG CULTURE’S NEW YEAR 2010 PARTY (Part l)

CHRIS GARNEAU, WU HONGFEI, BUYI, THUMB GIRL

CHRIS GARNEAU is an avid lampshade collector. He enjoys treats and loves small and large animals as well as wind, trees, and fancy gems. He is an experienced and high scoring skee-ball player. He is happy-go-lucky and enjoys spending time at the town fairs.

WU HONGFEI is lead singer of veteran indie band Xingfu Dajie and a writer. She has recently been busy with Xingfu Dajie’s third album “Leng Binqi” and a collection of music of the Dong minority.

BUYI, the best folk rock band in China (according the media, that is). Seriously, the best folk rock band in China, no kidding.

THUMB GIRL (Muzhi Guniang)
The indie band ‘Thumb Girl’ from Beijing was formed in Jan. 2005. They have a basic folk style but dabble in other elements as well.

For them, the experience of music is like living in the world of fairy tales where they are the creators and performers in their own very story. They see themselves as a bunch of kids who will never grow up, so they can sing happily and freely in their own fairy tale world.

  • Start: 20:00
  • Tickets: Rmb 160 / 100 (in advance)
