Lucas MacFadden又称为Cut Chemist，他是与洛杉矶的rap组合Unity Committee一起开始他的职业生涯，并在1993年首次发行他们的“Unified Rebelution”.
1999年，他与DJ Shadow组成二人组合，在旧金山表演系列活动。Brainfreeze是这次系列活动中的一场现场彩排的录音，后来变成了一张非常流行并且难以得到的专辑。
他首张个人专辑中的歌曲《The Audience’s Listening》（Warner Bos.2006），被做为ipod nano商业广告中的一首。最终选择他专辑里的12首歌曲之前，他已经录制了上百首歌曲。 这些歌曲建立在其它唱片中，上千首珍贵的、疯狂的、古怪的、不同寻常的和不经常被找到的歌曲的基础上，他广泛的传播积累出了一个真正的“全球性图书馆”，其中的收藏可以追溯到1977年的某个时候。
Lucas MacFadden aka Cut Chemist began his music career with the Los Angeles-based rap group Unity Committee, and debuted on their 1993 vinyl release “Unified Rebelution”. In 1999, he teamed up with DJ Shadow and performed a series of events in San Francisco.Brainfreeze is a live recording of a rehearsal of one of those shows, and became an insanely popular and hard to find album.
The theme song for his first solo album “The Audience’s Listening” (Warner Bros. 2006) made it into one of the commercials for the iPod Nano. Before selecting the final 12 songs for this album, he recorded hundreds of songs.
These songs were built with the assistance of thousands of rare, crazy, odd, eccentric and quite often hard-to-place samples from other records, a truly global library that has been amassed from his extensive travels and dates back to around 1977. The Japanese term ′Pecha Kucha′ roughly translates as chit-chat or noisy chatter. As a potent crossbreed between an elevator pitch and a slide show, Pecha Kucha Night presents 10 participants who show 20 slides for 20 seconds each (6 min and 40 seconds per presenter). No more boring lectures, painful seminars or tiring presentations. Pecha Kucha Night Beijing offers the audience the experience of a dazzling range of speakers and images, from different creative fields (such as art, architecture, graphics and any other creative filed you can imagine) in the course of one evening. Breaks will be filled with drinks, music, images and of course: chit-chat (so bring your business cards).
